2021 Season COVID-19 Measures
As the opening of our 2021 season quickly approaches, we would like to remind guests of the COVID-19 pandemic measures that will be in place at Christiana Lake Lodge. We are mindful that COVID-19 is still an ongoing risk to public health and these measures will be enforced to protect the health and wellbeing of our guests, staff, and the surrounding community.
To help you plan your stay, please ensure you and your cohort are familiar with the preventative measures outlined below. Failure to follow these measures at all times during your stay will lead to a revocation of site privileges that will extend into the entire 2022 season as well.
If you have questions or concerns, please reach out in advance of your stay.
Limit Travel and Interaction within the Surrounding Community
The neighbouring hamlet of Conklin, Alberta has voiced their concerns with respect to the potential transmission of COVID-19 from visitors entering the community. For this reason, guests of Christina Lake Lodge are asked to respect the health and safety concerns of area residents and not walk, drive, or ride ATVs into the surrounding community. If you must access local services, please follow all public health guidelines closely and refrain from loitering and interacting with local residents.
Pre-Screening at Check-in
Upon arrival at site and prior to every check-in, all guests will be required to complete a mandatory COVID-19 screening protocol including a questionnaire and temperature check. A copy of the questionnaire is attached for your reference. Access to the property will require guests to meet all criteria included in the screening process.
Cohort Groups and Social Distancing
While at the campsite and general use areas, guests must refrain from interacting with campers from other campsites and stay within their cohort group following the latest Alberta Health Services guidelines. If you leave your campsite or come in proximity to others who are not in your cohort group, please respect the mandatory minimum physical distancing of two (2) metres.
Mandatory Mask / Face Covering Use
Face coverings are mandatory when in close proximity (two metres or less) to other individuals not in your cohort. We also encourage guests to wear a mask or face covering at all times when away from their campsite.
Food & Beverage Services
The dining room will be closed to guests. Food and beverage options for lunch and dinner will be offered through our take-out service. No breakfast service will be available. Masks or face coverings are required while picking up food and beverage orders. Off-sale of liquor will be temporarily suspended.
Guests will be required to sanitize their hands before using the water service equipment. A sanitizer station will be provided.
To address physical distancing on the dock, a limited number of boats will be made available for rent. Guest will also be required to bring their own personal life preserver. Boats will be sanitized thoroughly in between rentals.
Following provincial guidelines, we will be limiting the number of guests in the store at any given time to the posted maximum occupancy. Guests will also be required to wear a mask or face covering while adhering to the two-metre physical distancing guidelines.
Guests are asked to use hand sanitizer before entering and leaving the washroom. Masks or face coverings must be worn in the washrooms.
The pandemic measures at site may be adjusted throughout the season where appropriate to align with the latest public health guidelines. Guests will be notified if/when changes are required. Failure to follow these measures could lead to further restrictions by the Government of Alberta and/or Christina Lake Lodge.
We look forward to welcoming you to Christina Lake Lodge for another fun-filled and safe summer making new memories with family and friends.
