One of our previous polls had a vote for May 6th -12th for open water .. so if you had a bet going on, get your cash! We had a measly 10 dollar pool going and our son won, go figure!

Christina Lake is open May 14th, in time for May long .. stop~ contain yourself..!! Sawbones Bay & Tributaries Opening June 1st.
New this year is no keepers of Northern Pikes and as always our Walleyes are catch and release only for fun sportsmanship… 🙂

Book your boat rentals, we always have bait, tackle, and rods in store for your convenience. You might want to grab a burger before you head out as well, our 2018 menu will not disappoint!. Nothing like fishing with a good ole’ homemade burger in your belly right!

While you’re away enjoying some warmer temps, we will be staying put for a quiet week at home getting our machines ready for the lake, digging out the rods, boat is getting unwrapped in the coming weeks and going in for a tune up…What’s your Spring Break looking like?
~Are we too early to countdown the days to May long?…nahh
Our family has such a love for the May long weekend at the lake; taking in that first real breath of the fresh spring air, sipping morning coffees down at the docks while tuning up and re threading the family rods … Total Bliss!
Hunger strikes at about 10am for us…what’s a morning without breakfast from the chalet? delicious food, no cooking or clean-up for us and good pricing….we’re always in for that!

The countdown is on for open water fishing.. 58 days to be exact! I can remember last season around this time getting excited to start guessing when the ice would be off the lake and when we would be free to start catching! Do you remember? Fishing May long and watching the Christina Lake Lodge sunsets, nothing short of amazing on this lake!
You can expect to catch Walleyes (we call them Walters, no?), Burbots, Whitefish and of course the Monster Northern Pikes that hang out in our secret locations;). Stay tuned for hot spots in following posts.
